For those that follow the posts on my Blog, I’ve started a new addition I’m calling “Ask JoeB”.
Send me one of your photos and a question, and I’ll be glad to critique it and offer some suggestions I would with students taking my online class with the PPSOP or in the “Stretching Your Frame of Mind” workshops I conduct around the planet. You’re welcome to go out and shoot new photos for this, or you can just send me what you already have if you have a question about it that you want answered. Tell me what you were thinking right before you clicked the shutter, as I want to know your thought process. Tell me why you think it’s one of your best images, or tell me why you don’t think it is. I’ll need your input to respond.
Send me your un-cropped images with little or no post-processing, so I can see where you are as a photographer, not as a Photoshop artist. Send them as a high res jpeg, and the longest side at 1200 pixels. The dpi isn’t important, so just make it 100. DON’T SEND THE IMAGE IN THE BODY OF YOUR E-MAIL, SEND IT AS AN ATTACHMENT. If it comes in smaller than 1200 pixels, I won’t be able to comment on it. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!
If you’ve already put it through any post processing, tell me what you did.
Please only send one at a time and give me a little time to post your photo and comment. I’ll be honest with my evaluation, and as in most of the student’s work I comment on, I can always find something positive.
I’ll only be using your first name and where you’re from, and I suggest that your images be copyrighted.
Send your photographs to askjoeb@gmail.com and I’ll download them and put them and my critique in a post on my Blog.
BE SURE TO ASK ME A QUESTION ALONG WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPH.
